Today was a long day! I had Judd at school on time and made myself go to the y to Leonard's class. Totally didn't want to, but I am sure it is good for my body to do something different than run. So, after all was said and done, I am glad to have gone! Judd was terrible at rest time today. He came out of his room 15 times and finally at 2:30 I bagged the effort. I let him watch Bob the Builder and I typed some emails. I just couldn't handle fighting with him about taking a rest or whatever. We went to soccer after Mags got up from her nap. It was FREEZING today...where winter came back from I do not know, but I don't like it one bit. Bring back the warm weather! Judd was not concentrating at soccer today and was running around on the field trying to get Bryant to hold his hand...what in the world??
He went to bed crying that he was hungry...we are working on eating everything that he wants at dinner time and to stop asking for food 3 minutes before we brush his teeth. Ben and I won tonight and Judd went on to bed. For the record, he ate a complete dinner and I do not think that he went to bed hungry at all:) NOW, if I can sleep tonight that will be awesome!

Mondays!
Yesterday was a fun Sunday. Church, rest time and then the Yellow Brick Road Walk for Charlotte Family Housing. Mandy and her family met us out at the park for the walk and it was a nice gathering. They had sandwiches, cookies and a DJ for entertainment. The kids both fell asleep by 6:30pm and slept all night:)
Mags and I ran Monday errands today with the bonus of ordering Judd's construction site birthday cake from the Cotswold Harris Teeter. I am SO excited about it. I think it is going to look so adorable and he will be thrilled to see his name on the cake in the construction sign. I will have to post pics on Thursday when I pick it up. Judd also did a great job taking his 2nd day in a row of quiet time in his room. He played his Leap Pad Explorer and earned another treat. After soccer, we went to eat dinner at Moe's with Bryant and Jack...Judd shared his brownies and was pleased with himself.
The trouble came at home...both kids were starving...even though they ate the dinner at Moe's. So, 14 pancakes later...Mags went straight to bed and it is now 8:43 and Judd is still out and about...just can't seem to chill out. Excuses Excuses! Hopefully, the night will be over soon...I am going back to watching Mad Men. More birthday week events to come!

New to the Blog World
I am going to try rally hard to start "blogging" for my own satisfaction...certainly not to entertain others. I need to be better about keeping track of what happens in our kids lives day to day...the good and the bad. The highlights of the past 2 weeks include Maggie having a severe immune response to either a random virus or an antibiotic...which left her covered in a rash that was reddish purple. Her feet, hands, legs and joints were so swollen that she couldn't walk for 3 days. I was scared to death. She was apparently in a lot of pain, but they don't give anything to help with that except Tylenol or Motrin. It took about 5 days for her to look normal again and I breathed a sigh of relief. If I can figure out how, I will post pictures to remember this! The other incident of late was Judd falling out of the bed at 1:30am last Tuesday night. He sliced his eye open and apparently got his cheek pinned under his bed because his left cheek was really bruised too. No stitches needed, but I am insisting on using the bedrail again. He doesn't want to, but I didn't like the whole episode at 1:30am either! He is also sleeping without a pull up the past 4 nights! He is doing AWESOME! No accidents (yet)...
Our weekend has been good too. Ben is trying to implement a new discipline routine that his mom told him about...seems to be working, but the real test will be tomorrow when I am home with them alone. Judd never responds to me the same way he does to Ben. WE shall see.
